Robert W. Miller
Robert W. Miller’s law practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate, elder law, real estate and business.
Bob is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and of the Missouri Bar Association’s Probate and Trust Division and Business Succession Planning, Charitable Giving, Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate Administration Committees.
Bob Miller was born in the City of St. Louis and is a lifelong resident of St. Louis County. Bob graduated from Westminster College, in Fulton, Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from the University of Missouri School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.
After law school graduation, Bob served two years on active military duty as an infantry officer. As a captain in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star medal. Bob’s military service instilled in him a commitment to America’s veterans and the protection of their legal rights.
Practicing in the complex areas of estate planning, probate and elder law requires excellent communications skills. Bob background and training prepared him well for this challenge. At Westminster College he was editor-in-chief of the college newspaper. For nine years, he taught in the paralegal program at St. Louis Community College, Meramec Campus. He has written chapters for two desk books published by the Missouri Bar Association and has been a presenter at numerous legal seminars.
Miller & Roberts LLC believes in the team approach in assisting clients with their estate plans. Bob often works with their clients’ financial planners, brokers, accountants and trust officers to make certain that these plans are specifically tailored to achieve the clients goals and objectives. Bob has always been team oriented. In addition to playing high school and college baseball, Bob served as manager and head coach of youth baseball teams for 28 years for Art’s Boys Club, Ballwin Athletic Association and the Kirkwood-Webster Groves team in the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association.
Bob believes that mutual trust is the basis for a successful attorney-client relationship. He is proud of the many long term professional relationships he has with his clients and members of their families. He is a trusted member of the community. Bob has served on his church’s Administrative Board, Board of Trustees and is currently a member of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee. Bob served as a board member of the Webster-Groves-Kirkwood Shepherd Center and he is a Past President of the Kirkwood Rotary Club.
Bob Miller has been married to Lonnie Miller for 49 years. Bob and Lonnie have two children, Kathy and Jon and five grandchildren.
